My Top Five Favourite Books Of 2017.

It’s my favourite time of the year, looking back on all my favourites of the last year! I’m so happy that we’re in 2018 already but I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to 2017 without sharing my favourite reads with you

2017 Best Books

♡ To All The Boys I’ve Loved Beforby Jenny Han {Review} — I absolutely loved this fluffy series! It features an amazing Korean family, yummy food and a sweet love story, it is most definitely the perfect series for any contemporary lover!

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde {Review} — Queens of Geek is by far the cutest and best contemporary book I read last year.  It follows a group of amazing friends as they attend SupaCon together. It is an #ownvoice novel and it oozes diversity, we get really good anxiety and bisexual representation. It is a definite must read for 2018 if you haven’t read it yet!

♡ Dreamology by Lucy Keating {Review} — Reading Dreamology was like being in a dream like state; it was such a euphoric and happy reading experience and I totally adored this cute story between two hopelessly romantic characters, it had the perfect mix of dreaminess, romance and just a tad bit of weird to keep things interesting. I loved the premise of the story; it was colourful, interesting and totally unique! If you’re a dreamer then this book will be perfect for you.

♡ Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index by Julie Israel {Review} — Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index made me happy. It is a lovely yet poignant story about Juniper Lemon, who lost her sister and as a result her family and friends as well. I expected it to be a sad story, but I loved Juniper’s character, she was witty and sarcastic and the whole story was just so refreshing!

♡ A Semi Definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland — Another one of my absolute favourite books of last year! It tackles so many different things: anxiety, depression, addiction & self-harm, but it is also an amazing story about friendship and love. I would love, love, love to see it made into a movie!

Honourable Mentions — Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart, The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli, Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia & Noteworthy by Riley Redgate.

What are some of your favourite books of 2017?

Have you read any of the books on my list and what did you think?

  2. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is a great book, I’m still working my way through the series. I haven’t come across any of the others on this list before – the cover designs are gorgeous – I have way too many books on my goodreads TBR but these are all getting added.
