Books Coming To A Big Screen Near You

Book adaptations coming to a big screen near you soon

I love reading books, but when I’m not reading I love to binge movies and series. So there’s nothing better than watching movies that are based on awesome books. Following is a list of 10 movies based on books that I’m excited to see in the near future

Books To Movies (2)

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (3 March 2017) — So I’ve not yet read this but it’s got a very If I Stay vibe to it which I really enjoyed (both the movie and the book) so I’m hoping that this will be equally as entertaining.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon (19 May 2017) — I was not as big a fan of the book, but I’m really quite excited for the movie. I loved the trailer and I think the casting choices are perfect so I can’t wait to go and watch this.

Wonder by R.J. Palacio (17 November 2017) — Another book I’ve not yet read, but a book I’ve heard nothing but good things about. This is a topic that’s really interesting to me and I just hope that it translates well onto the big screen.

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven (TBA) — All The Bright Places is one of my all time favourite books and I’m really excited to see this movie. I’m also quite nervous as I’m scared that the beauty of the writing and the message won’t translate well onto the big screen.

Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle (22 November 2017) — I’ve been meaning to read this for two Christmases, but I just never seem to get to it. I love Christmas and festive movies so I think this will be right up my alley.

Books To Movies (3)

Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness (TBA) — The Chaos Walking Trilogy is one of the best trilogies out there and I immediately thought that it would make an excellent movie. We don’t know a lot about this yet, just that it’s going into production and some potential actors.

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (2018) — Yet another book I still have to read before the movie comes out. I really love Albertalli’s cutesy writing style and I think it will definitely translate into a super cute movie. Plus Josh Duhamel is in it, so all the more reason to go and see it!

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (30 March 2018) — I love video games and 90’s references so this book/movie is going to be write up my alley. I definitely think this one is going to be good!

The Circle by Dave Eggers (27 April 2017) — I’ve heard some mixed things about this book (obviously I still have to read this) but it’s purely on this list because of Emma Watson.

IT by Stephen King (7 September 2017) — I have actually read this and I loved it! I also tried watching the original movie, but I just couldn’t. I think the remix version is going to be excellent and super creepy. I’m excited!

Have you read any of these? Are some of them on your TBR? Are you excited to go and watch any of these? Let me know in the comments!
